We first met Darren the head brewer of Fracture Brewing in North East Portland, Oregon, USA while he was running the Heart of Darkness bar in Saigon, Vietnam. Soon after Darren got into brewing. Now he is on the right side of the bar after a day in the brewery back in his native, USA. We have wanted to brew a beer together for some time. So here we have a different type of IPA than we usually do, made with Pilsner Malt and a Lager yeast. It is still very much a big IPA with the huge amount of Strata, Cryo Mosaic and Riwaka hops we have used. Giving us passionfruit and mango flavours to satisfy even the biggest hop head, but still super refreshing (for a big beer) for spring time. If you have never been to Portland.
